Sending PDF output to ZPL printers

Overview

Most carriers will send a label in ZPL format, which is easy to work with. However, there are a few situations in which a label may come in as a PDF which is not compatible with ZPL printers. This guide is how to quickly convert a PDF formatted document into an image, which can be printed by a ZPL printer.
 

Requirements

1. eFORMz application.
2. PDF Document/Data for Testing.
    

Procedure

To convert a PDF formatted document into an image which can be printed by a ZPL printer, do the following:

1. Within Composer, right-click on the variable containing the PDF.
2. Select Add Rule -> Load Image.
   
    
3. Click Ok on the Rule Properties Window.
4. Within the load image window, name the Component at the bottom as desired.
5. Select pdf under the format drop down menu.
