Overview
This is a guide on how to perform an upgrade to an eFORMz installation. Please note, that this article is intended for eFORMz installs that is upgraded regularly (every 1-3 years). Installs that are older than 4 years, may have compatibility issues. It is recommended that you reach out to support, for advice on how to upgrade an install that is 4 years or older.
Requirements
- eFORMz Installer. (Contact eFORMz Support to acquire)
- Windows Account with Admin Permissions.
- Test Data for after the upgrade.
Procedure
- Make a complete backup of your current install of eFORMz.
- The default install location on Windows is: C:\Minisoft\eFORMz_6
- Turn OFF the eFORMz service.
- Run the eFORMz installer.
- Depending on the version of the installer a password might be required to start the install process.
- Please reach out to support for the install password.
- Follow the instructions of the installer.
- Note that you may have to set the install path if your current eFORMz install was not installed in the default path shown at Step 1.
- Turn ON the eFORMz service.
- Send a test data payload to eFORMz to ensure that you're getting an expected output.
